Man Dies in Hebron Fire

A man has died and a firefighter was injured after a fire at a home in Licking County. Hebron firefighters Chris Clancy says the Tuesday night blaze heavily damage a home at 125 Sycamore Road in Union Township. The victim is identified as 46-year-old James Tapia. Clancy says Tapia was the only person in the home at the time and was found near a window at the front of the one-story frame house. Clancy says a firefighter suffered a broken leg after apparently slipping on ice at the scene. He was treated and released at the hospital. Investigators from the State Fire Marshall’s Office are trying to determine what caused the fire.
