A new beauty salon offers a full range of services in South Zanesville
SOUTH ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The village of South Zanesville is now home to a new beauty salon on Maysville Pike.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Friday for Blooming Beauty Co. which features hair, nail, and skin care services of all kinds. The new, locally owned business will be hosting an open house tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to show the what they are bringing to the community.
“You know it is an honor to be here. I wanted to bring something to South Zanesville that is an all in one place for people to get high quality beauty services done and it’s, I don’t know, it feels very special for me to be here, located in South Zanesville,” said Ashten Ray, the owner of Blooming Beauty Co.
Ray says her choice of location serves her friends, the community, and those in the industry looking for jobs in the area while receiving great community support in return.
“Honestly I just wanted to avoid North Point. I also have a lot of friends and family that’s around Crooksville, Roseville, Somerset and they don’t like driving all the way down to North Point sometimes,” Ray said. “So, opening up something in South Zanesville kind of provides them that place to go and avoid all the high traffic areas. Also, you know, there isn’t much in South Zanesville so I wanted to bring something more and more job opportunities for these girls that are in this industry.”
