A New Year for SEOSO and a New Face

There’s a new face in charge of the Southeastern Ohio Symphony just in time for its upcoming new season.

Leanne Bader-Mock has stepped in as manager of SEOSO and is looking forward to bringing new ideas and changes to the organization in hopes to benefit and improve what they do for years to come.

“We’re really in a fundraising drive for the symphony. This is a very important thing to have in our community, to have live music, to have such a wonderful group of musicians and it takes money, so we’re really working hard to raise money to support this season and continue on. We do get support from Muskingum University and we’re really thankful for that but we do need community support.”

They’re trying to do lots of cool things with the symphony this year. The season starts in October and for kick off the symphony is having a 5K zombie run. We also asked her what her favorite part about the new job is thus far.

“I think my favorite part about working with this group of musicians is having the opportunity to grow and build and also get more people involved and coming to the symphony. In the past couple of years audiences have been sustaining, the Christmas concert is always well attended but really trying to get people to come and see what these great musicians are doing.”

To do your part in helping the symphony, register online for the October 18th zombie run for just 25 dollars and receive a t-shirt as well.
