A Rocking Good Time
Kids at the free lunch program through Zanesville City have a rocking time at Potts Lane Park.
Wednesday the kids not only got lunch, but got to participate in fun activities like having their hair painted by members of the Valley Beauty School and also got to take home book bags just in time for the new school season.
“I like to help parents,” said Park Supervisor Sherri Wade. “i know this time is a hard time for different people so if I can put any input in then I’m glad to do it.”
These book bags are also filled with pens, pencils and crayons and are special for each child.
“I think they are looking forward to it because they have characters on it they aren’t plane jane book bags it’s what they enjoy and what they like,” said Wade.
As an added event, the kids also got a visit from local race car driver, The Rocker, who taught them his patented spin move.
