Ables Inc. 100% Employee Owned

ZANESVILLE, OH – A local Home and Heating company is now employee owned.

Ables Inc. recently announced that after more than five decades in the community, they are transitioning into a 100% Employee Stock Ownership Plan.

Russ Ables, the Owner and President, says he felt that his employees were the greatest asset to his company and he wanted to make sure they were taken care of as he enters retirement.

“I respect the employees, this is another means of retirement for them and it also gives them a part of the action that goes on in this company.” Ables said.

Ables says being employee owned gives him a sense of pride and says his late father, Jerry, would be happy with the decisions he’s made.

“As this company keeps growing and keeps working towards the future, it’s going to provide a great income, it’s going to provide great steady employment for the employees.” Ables said. “There’s a lot of opportunities they can take here and go with. I mean this company can grow and there’s a lot of companies that’s doing this ESOP.”

Ables has a staff of about 70 employees and they serve the Zanesville, Cambridge, and Newark areas.
