Accident Injures One

Zanesville Police investigate a one vehicle accident near the interstate.

Police say Beulah Prtichard of Zanesville was traveling west on Interstate 70  and was exiting onto Maple Avenue near McIntire Avenue when police said she lost control of her vehicle, crossed the median into the entrance ramp for Interstate 70 east and then crashed into a guardrail. The accident blocked the exit ramp for McIntire Avenue.

The accident happened around 8:30 Wednesday morning.

Police said they believe Pritchard lost control when she suffered a medical problem. She was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.

Traffic trying to get on Interstate 70 eastbound was back up for a over a half hour until the accident could be cleaned up.

Zanesville Police said the accident remains under investigation.
