Accused Gas Station Robber in Court

A man charged in connection with a December gas station robbery went before Judge Fleegle Monday morning.

Teddie Hunter was in court for a competency hearing where the court found that he was competent to stand trial.

Zanesville Police Detective Sgt. Ric Roush said that the 35-year-old robbed the Speedway Gas station at 930 Blue Avenue and made motions and gestures referring to having a handgun while demanding cash from the female clerk.

He then left in a vehicle that was found abandoned later on December 2nd on Potts Lane.

Hunter faces one count of robbery which is a third degree felony and one count of theft which is a first degree misdemeanor.
