Adopting Swag

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Need a change? Need a boost? Need a buddy that’ll protect your roost? He won’t be a bother, he won’t even nag, So stop by the K-9 Adoption Center and check out Swag.
Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Volunteer Doug McQuaid projected Swag as he paraded the Dog of the Week.
“Today we have Swag,” McQuaid said. “He’s approximately 4-years-old. A little over 60 pounds. He’s already neutered and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He rides very well in a car. Volunteers said he’s very easy to walk. He’s dog friendly and keeps a clean kennel.”
Swag tested positive for heartworm, a condition that can be treated and the K-9 Adoption Center has a special ‘Griff’ fund that covers treatments to assist a foster that is willing to provide a stable home. McQuaid noted that for a period of time following the heartworm procedure, Swag will need a calm environment and plenty of rest to recuperate.
The Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center always has the dogs’ best interests at heart and sometimes that can be expensive but you can support them by purchasing one of their new t-shirts.
“We just had a shipment of t-shirts arrive. It has our logo on them. They come in various colors, various sizes, small through 3XL. They’re $10 dollars. They are ready for pickup. You can stop by our facility. It is cash or check for these particular ones. And we’d love to have you wear one,” McQuaid said.
The K-9 Adoption Center is located at 1854 East Pike, next to the Sheriff’s office and is always looking for fosters, adopters and donors.
