AK Steel Workers Ratify Contract

Over one hundred workers at AK Steel in Zanesville have a new contract.

185 hourly production workers ratified a 3-year labor agreement ahead of the scheduled expiration of the current contract. Terms of the contract weren’t released.

The United Auto Workers Local 4104’s new contract will go into effect May 20 and runs through May of 2015.

The Zanesville pact has no bearing on work in West Chester, where AK Steel is based.
