Aldi Opens Doors to Improved Store

A grocery store makes it’s grand re-opening after being closed since July.

Aldi opened it’s doors again Monday. Managers were excited to show customers their new and expanded offering.

"We actually have not added square footage to the store but we have an open ceiling concept which makes it feel much larger for the customer to shop. We’ve also put in a concrete floor we’ve expanded the space devoted to both our produce section and our refrigerated section for fresh meats, deli range, that type of thing," said Director of Operations, Briana Markham.

Aldi has been making changes to multiple stores and the twenty-year old Maple Avenue location was in need of an upgrade. On top of the indoor changes, the store also features a new parking lot and store entrance. The community is happy to have the store offer new things.

"The most exciting thing is being able to appeal to a broader range of customers, being able to carry the items that our customers are asking for with more refrigerated items, more health conscious type items, more produce items," said Markham.

The store is open seven days a week.
