Animal Shelter features Pet of the Week
As always, the Animal Shelter is working to find forever homes for their furry friends.
A black cat named Sheldon is the pet of the week. He is five years old and he has been living at the shelter since February of this year. Adopter Elena Kent said that he would make a great addition to any family.
“He would just make a wonderful pet for somebody,” said Kent. “He’s very loving and friendly and he doesn’t mean being held, which a lot of cats like to jump but he’s very awesome and playful. ”
The cost of Sheldon is just $25.00 and micro chipping and neutering are included in that price. Adoption in the spring season is especially important according to Kent.
“Adopting is a wonderful form of getting a new family member rather than looking and buying,” said Kent.
The Animal Shelter is also looking forward to their Family Fun Day that will be held at the Animal Shelter on Saturday June 6 and their second annual ‘Paws and Claws Summer Jam. The day will feature a corn hole tournament, food, and a performance by Doublecut. All proceeds from both events will benefit the Animal Shelter.
