Annual K-12 Art Show Moved To Virtual

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Zanesville Museum of Art is moving its annual art exhibit for all students to an online venue.

The venue change is due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Executive Director Laine Snyder gave an overview of the vent on Friday afternoon. 

“We’re so sad that the kids and families and parents can’t join us this year… We had a whopping 345 applicants, that is individual applicants, from students all through Muskingum county, that is homeschooled as well as traditional schooled children. That is kindergarten through the twelfth grade, so quite a wide range of applicants.”

Snyder is sure that the event can be held in person next year and wants to let it be known where to view the exhibit as well as the avant garde winners.

“If you’re looking for some really fun artwork to be viewed tonight you can go to our web page and see the list of the k-12 award winners and we’ll also have a link to our Facebook page for the k-12 exhibition so you can see all of the beautiful pieces that were submitted this year for the Muskingum County k-12 Student Art Exhibition.”

Christopher Untai- Third Grade

Jasmine Brill- Fourth Grade

Mirian Mullens- Sixth Grade

LuLu Wilson- Eighth Grader

Wyatt Morgan – Twelfth Grader

Raelynn Longhorn- Ninth Grader

The best in show award goes to Braxton Mitchell, from the kindergarten class at Pike Elementary.
