Arrest Made in Deadly Hit-Skip
The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office said they’ve made an arrest in a fatal hit skip that took place Saturday.
Authorities said a tip called in to the sheriff’s office led to a 29-year-old Kimbolton man being taken into custody Sunday morning.
The vehicle involved was located in a barn in the northwestern part of the county.
The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office said the accident took place on Old 21 Road just north of State Route 541. A 15-year-old was operating a four wheeler and was towing a riding lawn mower occupied by a 14-year-old juvenile on the roadway, when they were struck by a red car.
Both juveniles were taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital where the 14-year-old was pronounced dead on arrival. The 15-year-old remains in the hospital.
The case is still under investigation.
