Arrest Made in Theft Cases

Reading Twp, Perry County- Perry County Sheriff’s Deputies make an arrest in connection to a string of thefts from motor vehicles and out buildings.
Authorities said Levi Knisley was taken into custody for outstanding warrants. Charges are being sought through the Perry County Prosecutor’s Office for two felony counts each for breaking and entering, theft and receiving stolen property. He also faces charges of having a weapon under disability, escape and one misdemeanor count of theft.
The sheriff’s office said Knisley was taken into custody on Tuesday, November 7 around 3:30pm. Deputies were investigating a series of thefts in the area of State Route 383 and State Route 13. When they arrived at 6405 Zion Road they encountered Knisley who fled on foot.
Once captured he was searched and found to be in possession of a stolen handgun that came from the recent rash of motor vehicle thefts.
