AT&T Upgrades Wireless Network In Cambridge

It’s a good day for owners of smart phones and other advanced mobile devices in Cambridge. AT&T Wednesday announced that its faster mobile internet network is available for the customers who need feature rich audio and video content. State Senator Troy Balderson – who was at today’s announcement – says he’s glad to hear that AT&T is making an investment in this area to improve access to these services for Southeastern Ohio. State Representative Andy Thompson says as residents rely on their mobile devices for information and connectivity, they must have faster connections. Cambridge-Guernsey County Community Improvement Corporation Economic Development Director Norm Blanchard says this mobile internet expansion will also increase wireless coverage along the I-70/77 corridor. AT&T has invested more than $1.4 billion in its Ohio wireless and wireline networks from 2009 through 2011.
