Back in Session

It’s back to the books for students at Bishop Fenwick.

267 students were in class Monday starting a new year of learning.

"It’s the excitement in their faces and their just excited to start something new," said Bishop Fenwick Principal Kelly Sagan. "The smiles of seeing each other back for the first time. Some of them haven’t seen each other all summer and I think just the joy and anticipating of what the year’s going to be for them."

This year the school is hoping to instill a sense of respect in the students.

"It’s a Catholic trait. It’s a virtue for us. Of course all schools have issues with friendships," said Sagan. "We just want to take it from a positive standpoint and continue with what the church teaches and the mission of the school."

Sagan said the students are already looking forward to "Special Persons Day" coming up in September, where they can bring someone to breakfast at the school.
