Bald Hill Road Fire Investigated

An early morning fire is under investigation. It happened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at 715 Bald Hill Road. Initial reports indicate that the back of the house was engulfed in flames. A 74-year-old woman was able to escape unharmed. The Muskingum Valley Red Cross has been called to assist at the scene. Perry Township, New Concord, Washington and Falls Townships all responded to the fire which remains under investigation. Fire officials also announced that Bald Hill Road is closed between U.S. 40 and Boggs Road until further notice.
