Barrett “Perry” Daniels (August 23, 1961 – April 14, 2010)

Barrett “Perry” Daniels, 48 of Zanesville, known boxer, Kick boxer, mixed martial artist, fighter, boxing trainer and one of the original founders and openers of P.A.L. boxing gym died 6:07 AM Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at his residence following an apparent heart attack.

He was born Wednesday, August 23, 1961 in Zanesville OH the son of Larry Daniels and Phyllis (Morgan) Lyons.

Perry was an electrician by trade and was employed at Rockwell, Int. in Newark, OH in the heat treat Electrical Dept. He was previously employed as manager of the electrical department for Longaberger Company. He also enjoyed shooting his guns, radio controlled airplanes, scuba diving and also had his recreational pilot license.

Perry is survived by his parents: Larry D. Daniels of Newark and Phyllis (Morgan) Lyons of Newark; a son: Heath B. Daniels of Zanesville and Heath’s mother Susie Daniels of Frazeysburg; 3 brothers: Eric (Heather) Daniels of Newark, Scott Davison (Christine) of Dayton Oregon and Brandon Davison (Luvi) of Oregon; a sister: Shannon (James) Dupress of Beaver, OH; and his grandmother: Violette Morgan of Philo and step mother Anne Davison of Beaver.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lyndon Davison.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8pm on Sunday April 18th. with
Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 19, 2010 at Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home 935 Forest Ave. Zanesville OH with Sam Dunn officiating. Burial will conclude in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Newark OH.
