Barricade incident at a home in Thornville

THORNVILLE, Ohio – On Wednesday, February 6th, 2019 at approximately 1:52pm, a 911 call was received from 11870 State Route 204 NW, Thornville, Ohio from a female who reported a disturbance in which shots were fired inside a residence.
During their investigation, Law Enforcement officers learn of a second male that was involved in the incident. The second male had fled the scene prior to officers arriving, however returned to find law enforcement officers on scene. When deputies attempted to stop the male, he fled from the deputies in a motor vehicle and subsequently led them on a pursuit through Thorn Township. The male was later taken into custody at a residence on Ridenour Road.
Meanwhile, Licking County Sheriff’s SWAT deputies approached the State Route 204 residence and was able to safely apprehend the first suspect. A search warrant was later executed on the State Route 204 residence and numerous firearms, ammunition and drugs were found inside the residence.
The two suspects have been arrested and are currently incarcerated awaiting formal charges by the Perry County Prosecutor. Their names are not being released pending the filing of those formal charges.
