Battle of Ohio Packs Local Bars
It was a nail-biting game today between the Bengals and the Browns.
The intense rivalry brought out devoted fans to pack the local bars to cheer on their favorite team in the battle of Ohio.
"Well it is a Browns, Bengals game and it brings everyone out in town. We get a mixture at this bar, we got a lot Browns fans, Bengals fans and even Steelers fans," says The Barn bartender and server Matt Westerheide.
Fans at The Barn on Linden Avenue were glued to the screen as the game went into overtime. Chad Camp says he’s been a Browns fan his whole life and has high hopes for the team.
"Just hopefully to see them win, someday go to a Superbowl, maybe be I’ll be 80-years-old by then, but hopefully someday," tells Camp.
Fans like Camp saw both teams fight for the win, but Browns fans will being going home disappointed tonight. The Bengals beat the Browns 23-20 in overtime.
