‘Battle of the Bands’ Concert Just Days Away, Early Bird Tickets Still On Sale In-Person and Online
DOWNTOWN ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The wait is over, the much anticipated and talked about Battle of the Bands concert helped put on by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Zanesville and the Zanesville Jaycees is set to take place at Secrest Auditorium this Saturday beginning at 4PM.
There will be food vendors, a beer garden, and 11 bands competing for a variety of prizes. However, only the best band will get the much coveted grand prize.
“The prizes are, the big one being: a thousand dollar cash prize, and a recording session at Weird Music Studios in Columbus, and then a band photoshoot with our very own Jenna Ray LLC and she’s a local photographer. So we’re really excited to have that collaboration, of course this is our first event ever of this kind bringing music lovers to downtown Zanesville inside Secrest Auditorium for a fun night of music,” Katie Mainini, director of BBBS Zanesville stated.
The Barn has been a huge sponsor for this event and Jim Watson, the owner of The Barn, will be a judge himself for the competition. Concert tickets can be redeemed at The Barn for discounts, and you can even see the winning band play at The Barn soon.
“It’s exciting for us at The Barn to be able to be a sponsor. We sponsored the tickets, so everybody that gets a ticket actually has a coupon to come back here to The Barn and enjoy our atmosphere and great food and all that kind of stuff…The winning band is also going to have a paid gig here at The Barn on September the 5th, which is the Sunday before Labor Day,” Jim Watson, owner of The Barn stated.
Tickets are on sale in-person at Big Brothers Big Sisters Zanesville building, The Barn, and CA House of Music for $10. Tickets can also be purchased online early at Big Brothers Big Sisters Zanesville website. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $11 and children 10 and under admitted for free. To make guests feel as comfortable and be as safe as possible, they will also have masks available for anyone who would like one.
