BBBS Opens Registration for Bowl For Kid’s Sake

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Zanesville is opening registration for its 2021 Bowl for Kid’s Sake fundraiser. 

The BBBS is looking for teams looking to have fun while raising funds. Each team’s goal is to raise $500 for the organization’s programming. 

“You can just go onto our website. We’re trying to drive a lot of the traffic onto there right now because of course we are still transitioning out of  pandemic. You can get on BBBSZ.org. Our website has a little bit of a different look right now because we just launched a new website last week. All you have to do is click on the tab for Bowl for Kid’s sake and there’s a place where you can sign your team up and do all of your registration right there online,” Executive Director Katie Mainini said.

The 2020 Bowl for Kid’s Sake fundraiser had to be cancelled due to COVID concerns. This year’s fundraiser allows teams to bowl separately from the main event if they have safety concerns. 

“We are so thrilled to offer a socially distanced, in person event this year. We want all community members who are comfortable to come out. We will also be offering an option to ‘bowl out’, which means that if participants would like to fundraise and form a team, they can also pick a different time other than the event time to go and bowl out their game,” Mainini continued.

This year’s theme is Community All-Stars.
