Benefit For The Family Of Local Man Killed By Bee Stings

Community members gathered today for a benefit for the family of a local man who was killed by bee stings. A bake sale, cookout and 3-D bow hunting raised money for Chuckie Murrey’s wife and two children. Those who knew him say he was a dedicated family man.

“If you ever met Chuckie, total strangers would love him after you met him because he was always happy, he joked around. He was 6 foot 5 inches and 200 something pounds and he was just a love bug,” says Jennifer Bare, Murrey’s sister-in-law.

Donations are coming in from people and local businesses. The family says they are thankful for any money donated or raised by today’s event.

“We want to really thank the community for coming out I mean it has just been wonderful and Melissa and the girls do appreciate it,” says Bare.

To donate to the family go to any Community Bank and ask to give to the Chuckie Murrey Memorial Fund.
