HILLIS & HARDWICK FUNERAL HOME OBITUARY:

Bessie Belle Mayle, 92 of Zanesville , OH died 3:17 AM Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at her residence in Zanesville.

She was born Thursday, November 22, 1917 in Lathrop OH the daughter of Charles Ezra and Inez G.(Smith) Kennedy.

She was a was a very active member of Union Tabernacle Church holding many offices over the years. She retired following several years of service with The Muskingum County Health Department and was active in the doll club.

Bessie is survived by one son: David (Becky) Mayle of Zanesville; one daughter: Dr. Janice Coats of Dayton; four grandchildren: Stephanie, Stephlynn, Melissa and Tischa; five great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren all of Dayton; one brother: Ralph (Pam) Kennedy of Zanesville; one sister-in-law: Letha Kennedy; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, Bessie was preceded in death by her husband: Howard Urschel Mayle who died in April 4, 1969; three sisters: Elsie Goins, Freda White Barber, Mildred Spires; one brother: Charles Kennedy.

Friends may call from 2:00 – 4:00pm & 6:00 – 8:00pm Thursday Nov. 18th and from 11:00am to 12 Noon on Friday Nov. 19th at Union Tabernacle Church, 2433 Hartford Ave. Funeral services will be held at the church at 12 noon Friday Nov. 19th with Rev. Terry D. Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Tabernacle Church or Genesis Morrison House Hospice in Bessie’s name.
