ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Living to 100 years old is a pretty impressive milestone for anybody, but what about making it to 102?

Betty Farley lives at the Adams Lane Care Center, where employees, residents, and friends joined her. After everybody sang Happy Birthday, Farley offered advice for those wanting to live a long and happy life.

“Well, I tell you. It is nice to be loved, and you should love everybody, regardless. Because the good lord made us all. Anyway, everybody should love everybody else,” Farley said.

According to the staff at Adams Lane Care Center, Farley never misses church or her weekly bingo nights. She reads every day and does it all without the need for glasses or hearing aids.

“I don’t know what else to say. Only just thank the lord and that you’re healthy enough to live your life and, and, and go on with your life and help everybody, regardless. And that’s about all I can say is I love everybody, regardless,” Farley said.

Farley also recommends helping whoever you can whenever you can, regardless of who they are. Farley and the residents celebrated with cake, listened to music, and took lots of pictures in the dining area at Adams Lane Care Center.
