Betty J. Longfellow
Betty J. Longfellow, 78 of Zanesville died at 7:15 PM Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Adams Lane Care Center.
She was born on May 12, 1939 in Zanesville, OH the daughter of Vernie R. Spicer and Elsie Alexander Spicer.
Betty was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and Retired from Genesis Health Care in 2004 following over 40 years of service at both Good Samaritan & Bethesda Hospitals. She was a member of Professional Secretaries International. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a loving and caring mother & grandmother.
She is survived by a daughter, Shayla (Jeffery Senter) Longfellow of Zanesville; two sons, Dr. Chad Evertt (Angelina) Longfellow of Newark and P. Jason (Jennifer) Longfellow of Zanesville; three grandchildren, Dayne Crown, Justin Longfellow, and Colin Longfellow; a brother, Vernie “Sonny” Spicer of Live Oak, Fl. Betty was preceded in death by Deceased relatives include; Parents, three brothers, William, Phillip, and Don Spicer and two sisters Bonnie Lou Ackley and Helen McGirr and sister-in-law: Carolyn Spicer.
Friends may call on Tuesday January 23, 2018, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM with funeral service at 2:00 PM at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with Fr. Martin Ralko as celebrant. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
