Bicycle Trip ends with one female transported

A family cycling trip down Johnson Hill Road quickly turned into Joshua Dennis’ worst nightmare.

“We was coming down the back road and I lost her there for a minute and she went down over the one hill and the bicycle didn’t.. the brakes didn’t engage. They broke and she flew down into the ditch and wrapped her back around the tree and her… she landed her front hit the other tree,” said Dennis.

Harrison Township Fire Department responded to the accident and transported 26 year old Jenifer Cotrill to a nearby field to wait for the Med Flight. The extent of her injuries are unknown but she was awake moment before take off.

“Yeah she was awake but she couldn’t really remember anything or anything like that,” said Dennis. “She was telling me she loved me… that’s about it.”

Cotrill is being treated at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
