ZANESVILLE, OH – Buckeye fans decked out in their Scarlet and Gray and made a big difference in the lives of children in Muskingum County.

Katie Lupsor, the Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sister of Zanesville, said it was an outstanding event that they couldn’t have put on without some help.

“The Buckeye Pep Rally was just absolutely amazing.” Lupsor said. “We got all of our community supporters, sponsors and a great group of volunteers together and now we have some really big news to share. We were able to raise over $125,000.”

Lupsor said the live auction also raised over $40,000 for programs like the Lunch Buddy program.

Lupsor also said during the Pep Rally, you could feel the love in the room.

“If you were there at the Pep Rally that night you felt this incredible level of love and connection and engagement for our mission.” Lupsor said. “I have never quite felt that by any event before so it was truly evident that we have the right people to help drive the work of our programs.”

Lupsor said they are already planning for something bigger and better for next year’s Pep Rally.
