Big Deals on New Wheels

Car dealers move merchandise off their lots as those looking for a deal take advantage.

President’s Day is traditionally a big day for dealers of new cars as they entice those in the market for new wheels with big deals and incentives. This weekend Dutro’s Sales Manager said they were swamped with potential buyers.

"I think that people are confident again in the economy," explained New Car Sales Manager Dave Wallace. "A lot of people have not bought cars in a couple years, so they’re getting miles on their car and so it’s a good time to come in."

Wallace said if you’re in the market for a Ford, the company wants to keep its sales up in this tough economy, so it’s offering thousands of dollars in rebates on pick-up trucks and zero percent financing which can help lower payments. But, if you’re coming in to buy know your facts.

"The best thing to do is check out the dealers’ websites," said Wallace. "Check out online and see what your car very well may be worth if you have a trade in. It kind of gives you an idea of what your payments might be."

The next big day for car dealers is the beginning of March, due to the break in weather and big benefits.
