Rosecrans Christmas On The Hill

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Bishop Rosecrans hosted their annual Christmas on the Hill event, going above and beyond for those in need.

It’s the 26th year for Christmas on the Hill, every year students of Rosecrans meets area kids who are in need. With the fundraising throughout the year, the students were able to buy the kids Christmas gifts. And on Christmas Eve everyone joins together to have a good time and unwrap the gifts.

“One of the biggest things here at Rosecrans is just doing something for other people and making an impact on your community. And especially with our sports teams we like to do that, and I think this is the greatest one here,” said Rosecrans basketball player, Jack Goggin.

Rosecrans basketball coach, Todd Rock, said it was great to see the youth spend their Christmas to pay it forward for those who would otherwise go without.

“This is what the community’s all about. Rosecrans, a lot of giving here. A lot of kids give up their Christmas to provide for these guys,” he said.

The event started at 10:00 A.M. Along with their presents, the kids also got a special surprise, a visit from Santa Claus himself.
