Bobcats Season Comes to a Close
The Ohio University Bobcats season came to an end Saturday with a 92-90 loss to Virginia Military Institute in the CollegeInsider.com Post season Quarterfinals.
Senior Nick Kellogg scored a career high 30 points in his final game as a Bobcat. He matched his career high in three-pointers by knocking down six.
Junior Forward Maurice Ndour finished two points shy of his career high, grabbing 26 points and a team high seven rebounds.
Ohio used a start from Ndour to jump out to a 17 point lead with just over seven minutes left in the first half. VMI opened the second half with a 20-13 run to tie the game at 59 points with 11:36 in regulation. They went on a 27-15 run over the next seven minutes to grab their largest advantage of the game (84-72) with just under four minutes to play.
The Bobcat seniors end their careers as the all-time winningest class in the program’s history with 97 career wins.
Ohio finishes their season with 25 victories for the third time in program history and made a school record fifth consecutive post-season tournament appearance.
