Bonnie L. Tom

Bonnie L Tom, 92 of Zanesville, died 6:15 AM, Monday, October 2, 2017, at Willow Haven Care Center following a year long illness. She was born Thursday, April 30, 1925, in Zanesville, the daughter of Lee Miller and Hazel (Matthews) Miller. She was married to Walter M. Tom who preceded her in death.

Bonnie was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church and was employed by General Electric in New Concord retiring following many years of service. She enjoyed sports; loved to follow her children and grandchildren in their sporting and social events and was an Ohio State Buckeye Fan. Bonnie was an avid reader and was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Bonnie is survived by one daughter: Diane (Alan) McLoughlin of Zanesville; two grandchildren: Todd (Lori) McLoughlin of Zanesville and Tobi (Rusty) Benfield of Powell; five great grandchildren: Jake & Janie McLoughlin, Grae, Gunner & Gambel Benfiled; one brother: Donald (Shirley) Miller of Zanesville and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband: Walter Tom and one daughter: Debbie Madden.

Friends may call 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 4, 2016 at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
