Brandywine and Maple Injury Accident

A call for a 3 car injury accident was reported at 6:30PM Saturday evening.

According to SGT. Jon McCoy of the Zanesville Police Department, a dark colored Jeep in the left turn lane of Maple Avenue, attempted to make a left hand turn from northbound Maple onto Brandywine Boulevard. The Jeep turned in front of a red truck which then struck a silver 4 door sedan.

McCoy said two people were injured and transported. One female driving the Jeep and a male driving the truck. The extent of the injuries is unknown at this time. The female in Jeep was cited with failure to yield.

Traffic was temporarily re-routed through a nearby business  parking lot for about 40 minutes. Northbound traffic remained undisturbed.

Zanesville Police and Fire Departments and Genesis Community Ambulance all responded to the scene.
