Bread Truck Hits Home

A Perry County family is lucky they are o-k after a bread truck slammed into their house trailer. The Lancaster Post of the Highway Patrol says it happened around 6 a.m. Wednesday when a Heiner’s truck was traveling north on State Route 345, swerved to miss a dog, went off the roadway, hit a carport and swing set before striking the house trailer. The Patrol says the home is owned by 40-year-old David Hogue. He was inside when the accident happened with his girlfriend and his son. The patrol says the driver of the bread truck – who was trapped inside the truck for a short time after the accident – is being cited with failure to control. There were no injuries reported.  The pictures for this story were submitted by Wayne Sagle.
