Brighton Presbyterian Church Celebrated its 120th Anniversary.

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – One local church celebrates 12 decades of service.

Brighton Presbyterian Church celebrated its 120th Anniversary. 11 year Elder and Member, Brinley Williams said this anniversary commemorates the founding of the Brighton neighborhood and the staple the church has been to the community.

“The people here, I find, I am not a native of Zanesville but, I’ve found the people to be welcoming, talented and caring people who have a real since of community and participate in many community activities,” said Brinley.

Williams said to celebrate they invited the current members, area residents as well as past members to the church to take-part in the homecoming program.

“It’s an opportunity to renew old friendships, for them to renew their acquaintance with the church and a chance for remembrance of things that have gone but, still are apart of the church,” said Brinley.

Williams said he hopes their guest leaves the program with a understanding of how caring the church is and how they want to continue serving the community.
