Brother to Brother Day Proclaimed in Zville
A Marine Corps veteran has found a different way to serve his country…
Lance Robinson began his trek across the country in 2010, in an effort to have September 10th proclaimed as "Brother to Brother Day", in each of the lower 48 states.
"It’s not only about our military, it is about our policemen, our firemen and our EMTs. Since 9/11, we’ve all become brothers. We are a band of brothers. So, what more poignant way to honor these men and women then to create a day called Brother to Brother Day," said Robinson.
Robinson met with Mayor Tilton at Zane’s Landing Wednesday morning to have "Brother to Brother Day" proclaimed in the city of Zanesville. Initially, Robinson’s journey began on foot, until he decided to reach a broader audience.
"At that time, I thought it more beneficial to go out on a bicycle because I’d be able to reach more smaller towns in America around the state capitols, than just go and shoot straight through the states like I had."
Robinson’s next destination is Lancaster, Ohio.
