Buckeye Lake Winterfest celebrates a decade of dancing, dining and Spring predictions

BUCKEYE LAKE, OH- Buckeye Lake kicked off its 10th annual Winterfest early this morning with fireworks, dancing, and a special appearance by Benny the Bass, who made his spring prediction in front of a crowd at the North Shore Boat Ramp.
Afterward, visitors spread out to over 40 local businesses offering food, live music, and plenty of fun. One spot that stayed packed all day was Buckeye Lake Margaritas Restaurant and Cantina, where owner Alex Rios says the atmosphere has been unforgettable.
“My favorite part is when I see every face, they are so happy, and they are so excited about being here in this fiesta time,” said Rios.
Rios says he’s grateful to everyone who’s making the trip to Buckeye Lake, especially on such a big weekend.
“I want to thank all the people who are involved with this amazing celebration, and I also want to thank you, all the community from around who come and support us and keep us busy, and I want to thank you so much, all the people who come from out of town to make the time to have a great time with us and enjoy our delicious food and our amazing time,” said Rios.
