Busy Easter Season at Central Trinity UMC

ZANESVILLE, OH – A local church is getting ready for the Easter Season.

Central Trinity United Methodist Church will be hosting a number of events during Holy Week and leading up to Easter.

Jon Exman, the Pastor of Central Trinity UMC, said they look forward to this week every year.

“We have a Maundy Thursday service and a lot of people don’t really understand what it is,” Exman said. “It’s kind of representing when Jesus and the Disciples were in the upper room and were preparing for the final moment before he was crucified.”

Central Trinity will also be hosting a Good Friday Walk in Communion Service from 11 to 1PM. An Easter egg hunt to follow on Saturday starting at 10AM. It all wraps up on Sunday with Easter Services beginning at 9AM and 10:30.

Exman said the reason for hosting all of these Easter Services and events is because he knows that day to day lives get busy.

“I mean, we’re not kidding ourselves, we know people are busy in this world that we live in,” Exman said. “So we’re trying to give them a chance to share in the Easter moment, in whatever time period that they can.”
