Cambridge Man Accused of Putting Son in Dryer

A Cambridge man is facing charges after authorities say he put his 3-year-old son in a clothes dryer as punishment.

Guernsey County Sheriff Mike McCauley says deputies were called to 40-year-old Jamial Bayly’s home on Hickory Lane where they found the boy inside a dryer which was turned on by Bayly as a form of punishment.

The Sheriff says the child did not have any visible injuries.

Bayly was arrested and charged with child endangerment and later released after posting bond.

A short time later deputies arrested Bayly on a domestic violence charge.

He is currently being held in the Guernsey County Jail.

Bayly was convicted in 1999 of domestic violence for assaulting a five-year-old family member.
