Cannelville Flooding Problems
The heavy rains from the storms the past 24 hours is causing some problems in our area. There are reports of some roads closed due to high water and a barn fire on Pleasant Valley Road was thought to have been caused by a lightning strike.
Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency Director Bo Keck so far “we are holding our own and there have not been any rescues needed in the county.” There are reports of flooding in the southern part of the county like in Cannelville, but so far no serious issues.
There was a report on a rescue in Perry County after moving water forced a vehicle into a ditch, but no injuries were reported. More rain and storms are expected throughout the day so everyone is urged to stay alert especially if you live in a flood-prone area.
