Car Accident Sends One to Hospital

An accident near Crooksville sent one person to the hospital Sunday.
 

Trooper Pat Townsend of the State Highway Patrol said 59-year-old Linda Leonard of Crooksville was driving her Jeep Liberty down a curvy stretch of state route 669 near the intersection of state route 345 and wound up in a ditch.

Townsend said the woman told officers she was trying to avoid a deer crossing the road.

She was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Townsend said Leonard will be cited for failure to control.
