Car Found Is Linked to Knox County Homicide

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is releasing new information involving a 54-year-old Gambier woman who was found dead outside her home Sunday morning.

Jean Davis’ vehicle was taken from her Dennis Church Road home and found in Newark last night. The Newark Police Department says it was located in the eastern part of the city.

The Knox County Coroner is ruling the death a homicide. Davis’ body was found just outside the rear door of her home when she didn’t show up to church Sunday morning.

Sheriff David Barber is asking anyone with information to contact his office’s Detective Division at 740-393-6800.

So far, there are no arrests in the case.
