Carol E. Paxton (March 30, 1956 – April 4, 2016)

ZANESVILLE
Carol Elaine Paxton, 60 of Zanesville, passed away Monday April 4, 2016 after a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born March 30, 1956 to the late William and Patricia Smith Murgatroyd. Carol was a 1975 graduate of Maysville High School. She began working at Primecare in 2003 and made many good friends through there. Carol was also a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church.
Carol was a devoted mother to her children Christina (Joshua) Higgins and Kayla (Doug) Grandstaff. She was a loving grandmother to her five grandchildren: Mackenzie and Quinton Higgins and Brayden, Coen and Kali Grandstaff.
In addition to her children and grandchildren she is survived by her sisters Beckie (Earl) Adams, Kathy (Steve) Moore, Victoria (Tom) Reed and her brothers William (Pat) Murgatroyd and Danny (Kay) Murgatroyd plus several nieces and nephews and long-time friend Fred Paxton.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Linda Polen and Renee Glosser.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 on Wednesday April 6, 2016 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD,ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held 1pm Thursday April 7, 2016 in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Tom England officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
