T.J. Carper Departs Zanesville for Chillicothe
ZANESVILLE, OH
After just one season as the football head coach at Zanesville High School, T.J. Carper will be taking over the same role for Chillicothe High School following an approval by the school’s board of education.
Carper is replacing Scott Bartholomew, who stepped down a month ago after three seasons at the helm of the Cavaliers with a 15-27 overall record during that time span.
A release from the school district notes Carper’s “coaching style, dedication to community, and passion for developing young athletes” as the many traits that distanced him from other applicants for the position.
Carper and the Blue Devils were unable to find a win during a rebuilding 2024 season at Zanesville, a job which he had taken over after three years with Vinton County.
Zanesville will be on the search for the third head coach to lead the football team in as many years, as the team will look to find a right fit to lead the program going forward.
