Carr Center Cake Auction concludes

After weeks of preparation and several days of auctioning, the Carr Center cake auction concluded at 6:00 Friday night.

People donated 415 cakes and incentives to the auction this year. Those donated cakes helped to raise $133,080. Executive Director of the Carr Center, Kim Hosler, said while the money raised goes a long way to help the center perform its daily duties, she said the giving spirit of the community really means the most. That feeling is exhoed by volunteer Ron Bucci who said community support has allowed the center to have 29 successful cake auctions.
