Carr Center’s Cake Auction Returns to the Colony Square Mall

ZANESVILLE, OH – A beloved fundraising event is coming back to the Colony Square Mall.
The Carr Center’s 38th annual Cake Auction will take place on April 24th and 25th at the mall. Participants will decorate a cake, as well as an incentive, to be auctioned off to help benefit the different programs the Carr Center offers.
Katie Graham, the Executive Director of the Carr Center, said they are excited to be bringing the cake auction back to the mall.
“We held the auction at Secrest Auditorium for a few years and it was wonderful, we loved working with them,” Graham said. “A little bit of changing of hands at the Carr Center now. We just really wanted to come back [to the mall], we loved it, we missed it, and we’re happy to be here for them.”
Jessica Brailer, the General Manager of the Colony Square Mall, said she’s glad to be able to provide the space for this amazing fundraiser.
“We love to be a part of our wonderful community,” Brailer said. “Anything that we can do to offer a helping hand to support the initiatives of the Carr Center, that’s far reaching out in our community to help so many individuals and their families in need.”
If you are interested in entering the Cake Auction you can head to the Carr Center’s website to register. The two day auction will be broadcast live on Whiz’s AM 1240 and FM 102.3. It will also be streamed live on Whiznews.com.
