CASS Camp in Full Sing
Central Presbyterian Church is ringing with music this week.
CASS Camp officially kicked off June 8 with private voice lessons, band and orchestra practice, and name tag creation. CEO and Director of CASS Camp Cassandra McDonald said she’s so excited to start another week at camp.
“We’re all excited because we’re all just putting it all together and it’s just cool to see them come in with such excitement and such glee like ‘Yay, we’re here at CASS Camp again’, ” said McDonald.
The whole week will feature free concerts at 7:00 p.m. each night. The performances will take place at Central Presbyterian Church on sixth street. Tonight’s concert features Riders at the Gates of Dawn. Mcdonald said their sound is unlike anything heard before.
“When I started with the country night, my kids said ‘CASS is going country, seriously’, I said but wait till you hear them, they are fabulous musicians and incredible singers, ” said McDonald.
CASS Camp will continue through Friday and the final night’s concert will feature all campers.
