Catholic Social Service’s Annual Golf Outing in August

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A local organization is teeing off for an annual golf outing in August.
Catholic Social Services is hosting their 19th annual golf scramble to benefit the organization on Friday, August 9th. The golf scramble consists of teams competing for cash prizes. It is a way to incorporate fun regardless of golf ability and bring the community together.
“My advisory board they wanted to do a fundraiser to help support our program and it just matched up really well,” said Regional Director for Catholic Social Services, Dave Desender.
All the proceeds from the golf outing goes towards the Catholic Social Service’s payee services program. This program provides financial management to disabled individuals and seniors in order to help them live independently and gain financial self sufficiency.
“The payee program helps individuals who are suffering from a disability and try keeping them independent the community. We manage their monthly income to make sure their essential living needs are being met. So it gives them peace of mind and better quality of life,” said Desender.
The cost of the golf scramble is $280 which includes a cart, green fees, lunch, and beverages. To register, just call David Desender at Catholic Social Services.
