Central Trinity UMC to Host Week Full of Easter Events
ZANESVILLE, OH – Central Trinity United Methodist Church is gearing up for a week full of Easter Activities.
The festivities kick off this Sunday, April 13th at 10:30 AM with the Chancel Choir and Chamber Orchestra performing a brand new Easter Cantata.
Jim McLaughlin, the director of music, said the Cantata is called “Blessed” as a “Sermon in a Song” and will center around the Beatitudes.
“It’s just a wonderful celebration and Easter is beyond the bunny rabbi,” McLaughlin said. “We also want to think about the Holy Week too.”
As Holy Week continues, the Church will be hosting a Maundy Thursday Communion Service on Thursday the 17th in the Fellowship Hall, and a Good Friday Family Communion Service from 11AM to 1PM in the church Sanctuary.
If the weather allows, on Saturday the 19th at 10AM there will be an Easter Egg Hunt outside of the church, but Pastor Jon Exman says if there is rain they’ll move it indoors.
Pastor Exman is inviting everyone to come out and celebrate the Easter Season.
“The Easter Celebration is for everyone and people take in information and enjoy things in different ways,” Pastor Exman said. “So it’s just always fun to hit all the age groups and hit things that younger people would like and things older folks will like and everybody in between.”
The week will wrap up with the Easter Sunday Services to be held at 9AM and 10:30AM in the church Sanctuary.
