Century National Bank grants more than $12,000 to Operation Feed

More than $12,000 was presented to Operation Feed from Century National Bank on June 25.

The money will go toward the 15 pantries and four hot meal programs in Muskingum County. Chairman of the Board of Century National Bank said the money is a product of a year of hard work.

“Our associates just really join in and every year come up with a a big food and cash donations to help out the agencies, so it’s one of those things that we really enjoy doing and everybody gets behind it,” said Tom Lyall. “It’s a lot of fun. ”

The money will be divided and distributed to the pantries and hot meal programs twice this year. Director of Christ Table Keely Warden said the money shows that the bank sees more than just customers, they see the community need.

“Century National Bank stands behind their community,” said Warden. “They’re supportive in what what we’re doing. They know what’s going on. They know that hunger’s an issue in this community and they want to be part of solving that. ”
